Lots of giveaways inc professional photos, flags, sunglasses, wrist bands, stress balls, and I even won a pair of shoes worth $125 ! - We won meet and greets with drag queens. So I imagine d with the businesses paying high fees - there isn’t a ticketed price - just lots of volunteers with buckets saying - ‘Give a dollar or five - keep pride alive!’ - & from what we could see almost everyone was donating. Some stalls pay between $5000 and $50000 to be a part of the celebration. Tomorrow their will be over x20 community stages in the epic site. A real community feel with every ethnicity feeling proud and involved. Large LED screens either side of the stage. One giant stage with sign language interpreters. VIP seating for tomorrow’s 3rd main parade, vip parties.

You get $1 off drinks, a free pin badge and pride 2019 t-shirt. We paid for a VIP PRIDE PASS - $120 per adult. I can’t wait until Monday to tell you how AMAZING it is - So I’m gunna tell you now ! We travelled from the UK having been very disillusioned with the Uk pride events which we find are highly commercial affairs. Crowd size aside, Beaux is a Castro classic and one of our favorite places to have a shot or two before heading back into the streets.Ok - So it’s the end of the Saturday on our 1st ever San Francisco Pride. It's a well-populated weekend, to say the least. But we also don't recommend any part of San Francisco Pride to the crowd-averse. If you're crowd-averse, we don't recommend Beaux. The drinks are strong, the crowd is rowdy, and we're not complaining about the cute bartenders. If you need a place to prep for the parade, we recommend a cocktail or two at San Francisco's first gay sports bar (and one of our favorite sports bars, period). This spot is always a good (and wild) time to watch the crowds from above and shake your booty. The Lookout is going to be uninhibited madness during Pride, which is why we are so here for it. made a special Pride-themed beer and we're super stoked on it! Go drink it! We'll get straight to it and admit our bias. Sometimes we all need a little liquid courage to go along with our pride, ya dig?

(The strawberry lemonade ruined our lives in the best way.) Expect litness all weekend long. The icon is back! Ring in the new Mary's first Pride with their primo burgers, drag shows, and all-too-drinkable cocktails. (Those cheeseburgers and milkshakes just hit the spot.) This place will forever be worth the wait. May we be so bold as to suggest that Orphan Andy's is the best diner in the Castro? Given that it's open 24 hours, we're big fans of hitting this place up for when the drunchies kick in hard. The pupusas are super affordable and super delicious. Best of all, $1 towards each sandwich benefits Equality California.Ī full-on Mission burrito is a shortcut to a food coma, so we recommend opting for the slightly lighter fare at Panchita's. Located right on Market Street along the Pride parade route, The Melt is serving up rainbow grilled cheese.

This Greek eatery serves some of the best gyros in the Mission that fill you up without weighing you down on a hot weekend (like, for instance, Pride). Valencia Street is a great place to start, as it's smack dab in the middle of Dolores Park and Civic Center. But drinking on an empty stomach is a super bad idea! Party smarter with some protein and carbs in your system, ideally from a central location. If you've attended Pride before, then you know just how much drinking takes place during the color-filled weekend (and believe me, we'll get to that).
